InspecTrack™Notebook Edition

InspecTrack
Notebook Edition enables inspectors and code enforcement officers to perform inspections in the field, using a notebook PC to facilitate the process.

Features

In addition to recording inspection results, InspecTrack Notebook Edition facilitates:

  • Review the complete inspection history of a permit, including comments and notices
  • Creating new inspections and rescheduling inspections
  • Printing reports and violation notices while in the field
  • Synchronizing with the permitting database from the field using SmartSync Technology (see below)
  • Adding detailed comments to an inspection summary and record the specific location of each violation
  • Reviewing all inspections associated with a permit
  • Route assignment by supervisor, using RouteBuilder™
  • Look-up of all inspections, including those that have not been scheduled
  • Recording inspection durations
  • Provide inspectors with access to entire open case load
  • Archive detailed inspection results
  • Capture electronic signatures, digital photographs and sketches
  • Increases professionalism and uniformity by enabling inspectors to select from pre-defined correction codes

SmartSync

SmartSync accelerates the remote synchronization of data between the field and the InspecTrack server by filtering which data is transferred.   The jurisdiction can select pertinent information; such as pass/fail status, correction codes, and scheduled inspections, for synchronization throughout the day, while supplementary information, such as notices or digital sketches, will be reserved for a full synchronization, to occur at a later time.

RouteBuilder

RouteBuilder is a specialized feature of InspecTrack that allows supervisors to assign scheduled inspections and create daily routes for each inspector. Supervisors can assign inspections one by one, or can use the helpful “auto-assign” feature, which uses filters to determine which inspections should be assigned to each inspector.

Optional Functionality

  • Code Enforcement Module — This module adapts InspecTrack to meet the needs of code enforcement inspectors.
  • Custom Fields Display Manager — When a jurisdiction's permitting system has been configured with customer fields, InspecTrack can be configured to display those fields as well. The jurisdiction can define what read-only information should be displayed on the handheld device based on the permit type. This may include any information needed by the inspector, such as the number of water heaters or outlets, square footage and setback information or construction value.
  • Digital Photographs — This module allows inspectors to attach digital photographs to an appropriate permit in the field. Inspectors will also need to have a digital camera and a connection cable or other means to transfer the image(s) onto the field device from the camera. The photo may be viewed and edited on the field device using the photo software provided with the digital camera, and will be transferred to the permitting database during synchronization.
  • Digital Sketches — This module enables inspectors to create and attach simple drawings to an appropriate permit. The sketch may be viewed and edited on the field device, and will be transferred to the permitting database during synchronization.
  • Enhanced RouteBuilder with Maps — The new Enhanced Routebuilder with Maps for InspecTrack module is yet another intuitive way for inspectors to see their daily inspections and enter inspection results. Using the streamlined map interface, inspectors can easily see where their inspections are located, allowing them to plan their routes accordingly. If an inspection is not familiar with an area, they can focus in on the surrounding streets to get more detail.
