Selectron Technologies, Inc. Announces Compatibility
with Accela Automation™
PORTLAND, OREGON — May 18, 2005 — Selectron Technologies, Inc., the premier provider of Interactive Voice, Web and Mobile solutions for public sector clients throughout North America, announced that it would be rolling out a new interface between its VoicePermits™ product and Accela’s Automation in two locations. Selectron’s experience with Accela’s family of products spans over ten years and now includes an interface to Automation using Accela’s GovXML technology. The first installations will be at the Department of Inspections, Licenses and Permits (DLP) in Howard County, Maryland, and at the Department of Development Services in Pinal County, Arizona. Both implementations are expected to go-live in July.
VoicePermits is a dynamic interactive voice response (IVR) solution designed to automate the building inspection processes of Community Development agencies. Using a combination of spoken messages and a touchtone phone, VoicePermits provides a direct, secure interface to the permitting and inspection database. Inspectors are able to post inspection results from the field in real time, and building contractors can schedule or cancel inspections and review inspection results from any location, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Selectron’s solutions are compatible with over 15 database application vendors using a variety of interface methods, in addition to several client-developed solutions servicing more than 30 vendor application packages.
