Pinal County, Arizona Goes Live with Selectron's VoicePermits IVR System & Accela Automation
PORTLAND, OREGON — December 7, 2005 — Selectron Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of interactive voice, web and mobile solutions for public sector clients throughout North America, announced the successful implementation of Selectron’s VoicePermits™ interactive voice response (IVR) system for Pinal County, Arizona with the County’s new Accela Automation® permitting database. The new system has eight dedicated ports to handle a wide variety of calls now being sent to permit counter staff, voicemail and fax machines.
“Pinal County issues about 900 new building permits each month, and receives about 600 inspection requests per day,” said Steve Brown, Building Official for Pinal County. “But on any given day, at best we only have 20 inspectors available to handle all of these requests. Selectron’s system will automate most of the routine requests and processes, from inspection scheduling and cancellations to results input from the field and remote retrieval for local contractors. So we’ll be able to maximize efficiency of our inspection process while providing local builders with faster inspection results, 24/7, so they can keep their projects on schedule.”
“We were delighted to be working directly with both Accela and Pinal County on this VoicePermits implementation,” said Todd Johnston, President & CEO of Selectron Technologies, Inc. “Our ability to interface with Accela Automation using GovXML has enabled Pinal County to strategically leverage their current applications and processes to improve service levels to their constituents, facilitate inspection routines for County staff, and save taxpayer dollars in the process.”
