St. Paul, MN Decides on Selectron's VoiceUtility™ for Its Utility Department

PORTLAND, OREGON — November 12, 2007 — With its choice of Selectron's VoiceUtility interactive voice response (IVR) system the City of St. Paul has found a way to replace a legacy IVR without modifying the application it was tied to. The new  solution allows callers the option of using the automated system to access their account information and make credit card payments. Speed of implementation and the ability to leverage the City's existing back-end were key factors in St. Paul's choice of Selectron Technologies as solution vendor.

"From the first demonstration of the product, our organization was impressed with Selectron's functionality," says Christine Meyer, Information Services Manager. "Their experience has led to a smooth implementation process with clear project definition and well-defined roles, responsibilities, and milestones. We are looking forward to the expanded self-service our new IVR will provide to our customers."

"Because of the time and resources already invested in their customer information system it was important to the City that the new IVR be able to retrieve and update information in their existing solution," says David Fay, Selectron Vice President. "We were able to do that and enhance their overall customer service. We've enjoyed the relationship we've formed with the City of St. Paul, and are pleased to be able a partner with them in their ongoing efforts to be well-connected with their jurisdiction."
