Pasco County Chooses Selectron to Implement their Utility and Building Permit IVR Solutions

PORTLAND, OREGON — January 21, 2008 — Pasco County, Florida is revamping their Utility and Building Permit Department processes with the addition of Selectron Technologies' Interactive Voice Response Systems (IVRs).


The Building Permit department's projected VoicePermits™ system will interface directly with the host database the County currently uses for planning, permit and inspection processing. Once installed, it will be able to handle a large portion of the phone and data entry work now being done by staff. Contractors will be able to call into the system to sched¬ule inspections, obtain inspection results and learn the status of a submit¬ted construction plan. Inspectors will be able to post some or all of their inspection results through a cellular telephone from the field. This will include leaving contractors special messages related to failed inspections, which will significantly re¬duce contractor calls to the building department. VoicePermits will be available to callers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Similarly, the VoiceUtility™ IVR system will allow customers around the clock access to their account information. They'll be able to hear their current utility bill account status, make a payment by credit card, check billing, and review their payment history.
