Compton, CA Selects Selectron's VoiceUtility™ Interactive Voice Response System

PORTLAND, OREGON — August 10, 2007 — Selectron Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of interactive voice, web and mobile solutions for local governments throughout North America, announced that it has been awarded a contract to implement its VoiceUtility Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system at the City of Compton, California. Once installed, the new VoiceUtility solution will help the city provide access to information and services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.


In addition to VoiceUtility, the City also purchased additional modules which will enhance the functionality of their system. The modules will allow Compton to make outbound phone calls to customers to deliver specific messages about their service and to let them know when they are behind on their payments. Customers can pay their bill online with a check or credit card. They can also retrieve information about business licenses, such as license requirements, and if they already have a business license, they can get find out the expiration date. By automatically retrieving data directly from the business license database, users have easy access to information 24 hours a day. The Spanish Language module allows Spanish speaking customers access to information on the IVR system.
